Suppose you’re curious about riding, returning after a break, or ready to earn your motorcycle license. In that case, the Basic Rider Course at Mid Tenn Motorcycle Education Center is the ideal starting point. You’ll learn essential motorcycle skills—from understanding controls to mastering clutch use, shifting, turning, and braking.

Completing this two-day course, along with the MSF eCourse and waives both the written and road tests at the Tennessee DMV, qualifying you for your Class M Motorcycle License. Training motorcycles are provided, and each student receives a course completion card recognized statewide for motorcycle insurance discounts.

Requirements to Participate:
Completion of the MSF eCourse (link provided after registration)
DOT-approved helmet with shield or glasses
Long-sleeve shirt or jacket
Long, durable pants (no leggings, sweatpants, or ripped clothing)
Over-the-ankle boots/shoes (no canvas)
Full-finger gloves
Eye protection if helmet has no shield
Ability to ride and balance a bicycle
Must be age 14+ (licenses issued beginning at age 15)
